This month Mumbai is celebrating the return of one of the founding fathers of modern Indian art. Syed Haider Raza is back in the city where he started his career in the 1940’s. 41 of his paintings are on display, 35 of which have been painted in the last two years.


 

In the special addition of Beautiful People we will see what drives this 90- years old artist and also attempt to evaluate his legacy.

 

Syed Haider Raza, artist, says that I am very happy that in spite of my age I am able to stand the physical effort necessary to paint small and big paintings according to my conviction, expressing ideas which are dear to me.
