The Justice Srikrishna Committee report for Telangana has been released, where it suggests six options, but comes down clearly in favour of a united Andhra Pradesh with special constitutional measures for the social and economic development of the Telangana region, including a constitutionally empowered Telangana regional council.

The Home Minister says, he hopes the report will generate an informed and mature debate. But the initial responses from Telangana MPs, including those from the Congress is one of disappointment. Has the Srikrishna Committee suggested a way forward or failed to tackle this particular issue? How will the major political parties respond and what does the future look like? CNBC-TV18's Karan Thapar discusses the Telangana dispute with Congress spokesman and MP, Abhishek Manu Singhvi; BJP spokesperson and MP, Prakash Javadekar; Praja Rajyam Party Member, C Ramachandriah and Bureau Chief of Vaartha, R Rajagopal.
