How can RBI be effective and clear communicators?

The India Annual Series was born when Business Standard launched their books division four years ago and it has already created a niche for itself in the publishing calendar. As in past years, they have a distinguished cast of authors, including, leading thinkers like Pranab Bardhan, Meghnad Desai, Pratap Bhanu Mehta and Arun Maira. The volume looks at microeconomic issues, country strategy and sectoral concerns.

TN Ninan, the chairman of Business Standard, marked the function as a double billed event. The Business Standard lecture, was the brainchild of Dr Sanjay Baru. This year, Dr Subbarao spoke on the dilemmas in central bank communication. As far as I can make out the dilemma that most governors seem to face is how to communicate without communicating.
