Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) play a vital role for the growth of any country. In India, they are considered to be the silent drivers of the economy. SMEs are known for the quality of the product in Indian and in international markets. After agriculture, SME sector is considered to be the backbone of the Indian economy. Contributing 45% of industrial output, 40% of exports, employing 60 million people and also creating 1.3 million jobs every year, SME sector is definitely catching up.

The Indian market is growing rapidly and Indian entrepreneurs are making remarkable progress in various industries like manufacturing, precision engineering design, food processing, pharmaceutical, textile and garments, retail, IT and ITES, agro and service sector.
