Evolving higher, vocational education landscape

Strong and sustainable education system can help address India's several demographic, growth and social challenges. Siddharth Zarabi of CNBC-TV18 in a recently organized India Education Summit 2013 discusses several of India's biggest initiatives in the education space.

The 12th five year plan identifies many challenges for the education sector and the need to create massive capacities to tap into India's demographic dividend. Education system in India is evolving from state funded, state supported to privately managed institutions. These private educational institutes should not be only driven by profit concerns but also on the basis of healthy balance sheets providing quality education.
