Co-founder of Snapdeal Kunal Bahl, on Thursday, narrated his heartwarming experience while stuck in traffic in Ahmedabad. While on his way back from the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit – 2024, Bahl encountered massive traffic on the way to the airport. It was a “make or break moment”, he described. However, he was helped by a policeman and shared a post hailing his gesture while thanking the Gujarat Police.

In the now-viral post, Bahl wrote about how the airport was 2.5 km or 22 minutes on foot with the flight leaving in 40 minutes. “It was one of those make or break moments when, if you want to catch your flight, you need to take a call right now whether you are going to walk 2.5km (22 min walk with the flight leaving in 40 mins) in uncomfortable formal shoes wearing a suit or wait for the traffic to open up. Because if you don't decide and start walking now, the first option is going to get eliminated. We've all lived this moment before.”

He chose the former and decided to deboard the cab and walk towards the airport, leaving his cab driver aghast. However, on the same road to the airport, he came across an important convoy that was passing by. He was asked by a policeman to stop walking on the same route. “I told him there are only two options if I am going to catch my flight: either he allows me to walk now or he gives me a ride in his police car after the convoy passes,” Bahl wrote further.

Bahl trusted the policeman and it was a good decision indeed as the cop delivered on his promise. “He was the nicest policeman ever (Himesh Bhai, 28 years in service) and said if I wait he will give me a ride. I trusted him and after the convoy passed, he zoomed me to the airport literally minutes before the flight was about to leave. Thank you to @GujaratPolice.
