A video showcasing the academic journey of a security guard’s daughter has received an outpouring of love from all sections on the internet. Shared by Dhanshree G on Instagram, the heartwarming clip showed her journey from India to UK and has moved the internet.
The now-viral video began with an emotional Dhanshree informing her father that she had been accepted at a university in the UK. The duo hugged and then the montage cut to the man dropping his daughter at the airport.
The clip also included glimpses from Dhanshree’s graduation ceremony when she walked towards the stage to accept her degree wearing a graduation cap and gown. “To everyone who told my father – ‘you are just a security guard you can’t send your daughter abroad. He’s my lifeguard and he did it,” the touching text on the video read.
“Thank you Pappa for believing in me,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
The video, since being shared online, has clocked in a whopping 20.3 million views. Instagram users were delighted for Dhanashree and showered their love.
