Friday marked the first day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities and what a day it was! From international celebrities to desi stars, the who’s who of the globe descended to be a part of the extravagant celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Moreover, pop sensation Rihanna performed for the first time in India as well.
From Shah Rukh Khan to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, from Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, most of the prominent personalities came to celebrate the union of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. And goes without saying, the fashion game was strong to say the least.
The bride, Radhika Merchant, opted for a custom-made Versace number for the first day. The theme was ‘An Evening in Everland’ and the dress code was ‘Elegant Cocktail’. Merchant served and how!
The pink, strapless ensemble adorned with heavy embroidery and metallic details all over was also opted by Hollywood actor Blake Lively for the Met Gala in 2022. The couture piece also featured a satin trail and the entire outfit looked perfect on Merchant.
The Ambani bahu took a minimal route when it came to accessories and opted for a stunning white and yellow diamond neckpiece with matching earrings. Makeup was on point with rose-gold accents and she completed her look with pink pumps. Anant complemented her well in a black suit.
Meanwhile, Lively wore pink satin gloves with her Versace outfit at the Met Gala and also opted for a bejewelled tiara and statement earrings. The trail was more dramatic and in tandem with one of fashion’s biggest nights. The colour scheme was a little different too. While Merchant's attire was only rose-gold, Lively's was rose-gold coupled with teal.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant pre-wedding festivities started from March 1 and will go on till March 3. The couple are expected to tie the knot in July this year.
