Cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu gave an update on his wife Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu's health on Sunday after she underwent a second breast cancer surgery last week, saying that she was back on her feet after being discharged from the hospital.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Sidhu thanked Dr. Rupinder at the Dr. Waryam Singh Hospital in Yamunanagar, Haryana and said that his wife would need one month recovery time before 25 radiation sessions.
"Back on her feet. Discharged from hospital. One month recovery time before 25 radiation session’s. Big thank you to Dr Rupinder and the staff. indebted forever," the 60-year-old wrote on the social media platform.
Several users commented on Sidhu's post and wished his wife a speedy recovery.
"Wish her a speedy recovery," former India cricketer WV Raman wrote.
"Always praying to God for her quick recovery," one user wrote.
"Wish her full recovery and good life ahead," another user wrote.
"Praying for her and may she be in the pink at the earliest," a third user wrote.
On Friday, Sidhu had shared on X (formerly Twitter) that his wife had undergone a 3.5 hours breast cancer surgery and referred to her resolve as "steadfast", adding that she was in a cheerful state of mind after the operation.
In July 2023, Sidhu had shared that his wife had undergone three chemotherapy cycles after being diagnosed with stage two invasive cancer in March.
