A Hyderabad-based software professional has struck a chord online with a viral post celebrating the people of the city and the inclusive spirit that, he said, sets it apart from India’s other tech hubs.

Siddhant Gupta, an alumnus of NIT Raipur, shared his reflections on LinkedIn after spending two years living and working in Hyderabad. In the now-viral post, Gupta acknowledged that Hyderabad might not boast the same obvious attractions as cities such as Bengaluru, Pune or Gurgaon, but said that what truly sets it apart is something more intangible—its people.

“Hyderabad may not have Bangalore’s weather, Pune’s treks, or Gurgaon’s nightlife,” Gupta wrote. “But it has something many places are slowly losing—human warmth.”
