Grammys 2024: Billie Eilish wins Song of the Year for 'Barbie' track

Billie Eilish won Song of the Year at the 66th Grammy Awards being held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. She won for her track in motion picture 'Barbie'.

American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish bagged a Grammy Award in the Song of the Year category for her song “What Was I Made For?” that featured in the motion picture “Barbie”.  The 66th edition of the Grammy Awards is being held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old accepted the award with Finneas O'Connell. She also won the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media as well. In Song of the Year category, Eilish beat the likes of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, SZA, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa and more.

"Thank you to Greta Gerwig for making the most incredible, most beautiful and empowering movie. Thank you Margot for being so amazing," she said during her acceptance speech. The song is a part of the 'Barbie' album and has also been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Song category.

"What Was I Made For?" also won a Golden Globe in the Best Original Song category this year. The song was up against "I'm Just Ken", another track that featured in "Barbie".
