As Google's parent company Alphabet laid off hundreds of recruiters on Wednesday, one among them, from the US, has appealed for help on social media as she is the sole breadwinner of her family. The former HR employee said that she is open to relocating to anywhere in the country for a new job.

"This is probably the most hardest thing I've ever had to write, so please excuse any grammatical errors. Today was a very difficult day for everyone, including myself," Victoria Collins (name changed) who used to work with Google in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area wrote on LinkedIn.

"I was affected by Google's layoffs today, and I know that I am just one out of hundreds of fellow extremely talented individuals who have been affected this year in this job market. As the sole provider to my very tiny family, I must be strong and I must move quickly as time is against me," she added.

Collins had joined the tech giant in 2021 and said that getting a chance to work with Google meant a lot for someone like her who came from "humble beginnings".
