Matthew Perry, known for his iconic role of Chandler Bing in hit American sitcom “Friends”, was found dead at his home on Saturday. He was 54. He died of apparent drowning in a hot tub at his house in Los Angeles, US media reported.
Days before his death, Perry shared a picture of himself relaxing in a jacuzzi on Instagram.
“Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,” he captioned the post.
That same day, he had posted a video of the moon while giving a reference to Batman. “Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you? – I’m Mattman,” he wrote.
The actor was hinting at something related to Batman before his sudden death on Saturday. First responders found him unresponsive and tried to revive him, but to no avail.
According to reports, no drugs were found at the scene. No foul play is suspected as well.
Perry had also shared a rare picture with his father, John Bennett Perry, as they posed in the living room of his house in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood. “Here is me, and my father John, both holding a beverage,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, “Friends” had an impressive run of 10 seasons, from 1994-2004. Perry appeared in every episode of the sitcom opposite Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.
