CNBC-TV18 is celebrating Daan Utsav, or the Joy of Giving Festival, through the day by hosting conversations with philanthropists and the causes they support. The Tamil Nadu Kidney Research Foundation, better known as the TANKER Foundation, was formed with the sole objective of treating all kidney related ailments in India free of cost.

CNBC-TV18 spoke with former ICICI Bank Chairman and TANKER Foundation patron N Vaghul and the Managing Trustee Latha Kumaraswami to discuss the foundation's mission and objectives.
