Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is celebrating her 38th birthday today. One of the most influential and easily recognisable faces in the film industry, Padukone is also among the highest-paid female actors in Bollywood. Her sizeable income from movies is supplemented by several lucrative brand endorsements – Padukone is the face of Louis Vuitton, Levi’s, Pepsi, Tanishq etc – as well as her own skincare brand and real estate investments.

Deepika Padukone’s net worth stands at Rs 500 crore, according to several reports. She is among the highest tax-payers in Bollywood. In the fiscal year 2016-2017, she paid Rs 10 crore as tax.
Last year, she was the only female actor to feature on the list of India’s highest individual tax payers.
According to Forbes, Padukone’s income in 2019 was Rs 48 crore. The year before that, she earned 112.8 crore. More recent estimates on her earnings are not available, although her career has gone from strength to strength and so, presumably, has the amount she charges for each film.
Some estimates suggest that Padukone charges between Rs 15-20 crore for movies and Rs 8 crore for brand endorsements.

Besides movies and endorsements, the Chennai Express actress also earns through her investments. According to a report in GQ, Deepika Padukone has invested in several startups like BluSmart, Supertails, Blue Tokai, and Bellatrix Aerospace.
When it comes to real estate, Padukone owns a 4BHK flat on the 26th floor of Tower B of Beaumonde Towers in Mumbai. In 2021, she and her husband Ranveer Singh purchased a second bungalow in Alibaug for Rs 22 crore. The same year, she and her father Prakash Padukone registered a serviced apartment they bought in Bengaluru for Rs 6.79 crore. According to the registration document, the apartment was purchased in 2012.
