A Bengaluru-based tech professional has levelled accusations against his former manager after being terminated from his role at the India office of an American workforce management company. In a detailed LinkedIn post shared on December 20, the employee alleged that a toxic work environment, marked by micromanagement, excessive workload, and disproportionate scrutiny over minor infractions, was the root cause of his challenges during his short tenure with the company.

The techie, who previously worked at Amazon and Revolut, stated that he joined the organisation on September 9, 2024, with enthusiasm and a willingness to adapt despite having no prior experience in SaaS (Software as a Service). He claimed to have made this lack of experience clear during his interview and expressed a desire to learn. However, he alleged that the organisation failed to provide the necessary training or mentorship to help him succeed.

The employee claimed he was expected to perform at par with seasoned colleagues without receiving proper guidance. “I was new to the system, the payroll process, and Salesforce, but I was not given constructive guidance on these tools or processes,” he wrote. He added that he was not taught how to effectively log breaks, which led to instances where the company’s system automatically marked him offline after brief periods of inactivity, further compounding his challenges.

The techie accused his manager of focusing excessively on minor issues, such as exceeding break times by a minute, rather than offering constructive feedback or support to enhance his performance.
