Atheist Krishna, the popular digital creator celebrated for his humorous memes and heartwarming Photoshop edits, has died due to complications from pneumonia. His death, confirmed by his brother in a WhatsApp chat, occurred at 4.30 am on July 23, leaving his vast online following and the broader community in shock. His exact age is unknown.
Krishna's creative work had garnered widespread recognition, even catching the attention of prominent figures like Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Beyond his witty humor and entertaining content, Atheist Krishna was also known for his emotional restorations of old, tattered photographs, a unique skill that brought immense joy to many. His ability to blend creative genius with a touching human element set him apart in the digital space.
Battle with illness
According to a post by user @nainaverse, Krishna had been unwell and required surgery. Tragically, he contracted pneumonia, which severely worsened his condition. In a poignant WhatsApp exchange shared by @nainaverse, Krishna himself had expressed, "It would be a miracle if I survive this." The user's post conveyed deep sadness, stating, "Woke up to the terrible news of Atheist_Krishna passing away. He was one of the kindest people I met on this platform... Gone too soon..."
Praised by PM Modi and Akshay Kumar
Atheist Krishna's unique talent had previously drawn praise from the highest echelons. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was reportedly seen laughing at one of Krishna's memes, a detail revealed by actor Akshay Kumar in a heartfelt video message. In the video, Kumar told Krishna, "Hi Krishna, this is Akshay. A few of my friends know about you and follow your content. They told me about the incredible work you do with your Photoshop skill to bring smile on people's faces. And recently I showed one of your memes to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he also had a hearty laugh... Keep bringing a smile on people's faces with your clean and honest humour. You will receive a lot of blessings. Keep it up, Krishna."
Krishna, originally from Odisha and later based in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, first rose to significant popularity after creating a spoof video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi dancing on stage before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a video that the Prime Minister himself proudly shared on X.
