Actor Shreyas Talpade collapsed after suffering a heart attack on Thursday evening in Mumbai. He was rushed to a hospital where he underwent an angioplasty. His condition is now stable, according to news reports.
Shreyas Talpade was admitted to Belle Vue Hospital in Andheri West, Mumbai after he suffered a heart attack.
The 47-year-old actor had reportedly spent the day shooting for his upcoming project “Welcome to the Jungle.” According to Times of India, he filmed throughout the day on Thursday and the shoot included minor action sequences.
Crew members said Talpade appeared to be fine on set and was seen laughing and joking with his colleagues. However, the actor complained of uneasiness after he reached home and informed his wife Deepti that he was not feeling well.
He was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed.
A source close to the actor said “Shreyas, 47, was shooting for 'Welcome to the Jungle' and in the evening he suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. He is fine now.”
The hospital said his angioplasty was conducted around 10 pm on Thursday (December 14). “He was admitted late in the evening and the procedure happened at around 10 pm. He is now doing fine and should be discharged in a few days,” the hospital said in a statement.
