8-year-old boy donates 10 months' savings to Indian Army, Russian woman in Gurgaon lauds soldiers

A Class 2 student from Tamil Nadu donated all hi savings to the Indian army because he wanted to 'help those who protect us', while a Russian national living in Gurgaon refused to return to her country amid the India-Pakistan conflict because she felt protected by Indian soldiers.

An eight-year-old boy from Tamil Nadu has won millions of hearts after donating all the money he saved for 10 months to the Indian Army. The Class 2 student of a government school in Karur said the amount included his pocket money and cash gifts from family members. The child said that he decided to donate all his money to the Indian Army because he wanted to "help those who protect us".

A video of him explaining his decision is viral.

Social media users lauded the boy for his selfless spirit.

“I wish he achieves the best in his life. Inspirational kid, and the credit goes to his parents and all other elders too,” wrote one X user while another commented, “What an inspiring young man! The country is in safe hands and has a bright future!”

In related news, another video doing rounds on the internet, a Russian woman living in Gurgaon thanked the Indian Army for keeping the country safe. Taking to Instagram, Polina Agrawal, praised the Indian soldiers for their bravery and unwavering dedication to protecting the nation. "Really grateful to all Indian soldiers who protect us and help us sleep peacefully at night!" she wrote in the caption of the post.
