Nothing launched its latest Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) on April 18 worldwide, and they share a lot of similarities and are priced close to each other. Nothing Ear vs Nothing Ear (a): Price, availability
The Nothing Ear has been priced at Rs 11,999 and is available in white and black colour options. But as a part of the introductory offers, Nothing has priced the Nothing Ear for Rs 10,999, offering a flat Rs 1,000 discount.
The Nothing Ear (a) on the other hand, has been priced at Rs 7,999. But, it's available in three different colour options, white, black, and a new yellow variant. It also has a lower introductory price of Rs 5,999 with bank offers. Both the TWS earbuds are available from April 22 on Flipkart, Croma, and Vijay Sales.
Nothing Ear vs Nothing Ear (a): Design
Both earphones come with a similar design, but the Nothing Ear has a larger case. Like previous Nothing TWS earphones, the Ear and Ear(a) have a transparent stem with Nothing branding imprinted on them.
The Nothing Ear weighs heavier and has a larger stem than the Ear (a). These earbuds also come with three different ear tips, and have an in-ear design.

One key difference between these two wireless earphones is that the Nothing Ear comes with 2.5W wireless charging support. The two earbuds offer a similar 45dB ANC support.
Both also have 11nm drivers, LDAC audio streaming support, triple mic setup, different ANC profiles, and ChatGPT integration. However, the diaphragms of Nothing Ear are made of premium ceramic, whereas Ear (a) gets PMI + TPU diaphragms, which are less premium.
Both earbuds offer ChatGPT support. Users with the latest Nothing OS and ChatGPT installed on their Nothing phones will be able to pinch-to-speak to the popular generative AI chatbot directly from Nothing earbuds
Nothing Ear vs Nothing Ear (a): Battery
Both earphones share a lot of similarities in the battery department as both support fast charging and a 10-minute charge can provide users with 10 hours of battery life.
However, the Nothing Ear (a) offers longer battery backup as it offers 42.5 hours of total battery life with the case compared to 40.5 hours of playback on the Nothing Ear. The Nothing Ear(a) without the case also offers 5.5 hours of playback with ANC turned on, whereas the Ear delivers 5 hours of backup.
