A new Photo Stack feature will organize similar photos by recognizing the subject and the time frame within when the shots were taken.

Google is rolling out new features for its Photos platform, which will now use the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), to sort and organize photos in an user's library.

It will automatically club similar shots together, reducing clutter in the library, and it will identify and automatically categorize screenshots and documents into new albums like - IDs, receipts etc. for easier sorting.

A new Photo Stack feature will organize similar photos by recognizing the subject and the time frame within when the shots were taken. It automatically curates a "Top pick" which, in its opinion, will be the best photo of the stack. Users can also manually assign top picks.
