Samsung denied preliminary injunction against iPhone 4S in Italy

This is certainly not the kind of start for the new year, Samsung may have wanted for itself. Reportedly, the preliminary injunction it was seeking in Italy against the recently launched, iPhone 4S has met with failure, just close to a month after a similar request was rejected by a French court. Foss Patents confirms that Tribunale di Milano, the Milan-based Italian first-instance court for patent cases rejected Samsung's preliminary injunction request against Apple's iPhone 4S. Samsung's success in securing a preliminary injunction against Apple would have barred the sale of the latter's iPhone 4S in Italy. Click here for full story
