While Nikon India said that they may be compelled to increase prices of their products, due to the Rupee fall, Dell has already increased prices of some products. The steep fall of the Rupee has increased the input cost for PC makers across the world. Due to this fall in Rupee, coupled with the restricted supply of components due to floods in Thailand and Tsunami in Japan, the renowned PC maker has hiked prices of some laptops and desktops, but they haven't revealed the names of those products. "If the impact of rupee depreciation is 1-2 per cent, it is manageable for us. But if it is more than that, we are left with no choice but to pass it on to the consumers. The prices of our products is higher than it was last month," said Dell Executive Director and GM (Consumer and SMB), Mahesh Bhalla. Click here for full story
