One of the most popular videogame franchises in the horror genre has always been Capcom’s Resident Evil series. Created by Shinji Mikami, the premise of the original Resident Evil was that the Umbrella Corporation was conducting sinister experiments in a mansion outside Raccoon City and a SWAT-like team called the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, or STARS, stumbles onto it while investigating several cannibalistic murders.
