RS will decide on sending MMRD Bill to select panel: Tomar

Speaking exclusively to CNBC-TV18, mines minister Narendra Singh Tomar re-iterated that MMDR Bill is important for mining sector and will promote jobs.

There is no logic in sending the Mines and Minerals Bill to a select panel, that's the word coming in from mines minister Narendra Singh Tomar. However, he hopes that the panel will submit its report at the earliest.

Speaking exclusively to CNBC-TV18, he re-iterated that MMDR Bill is important for mining sector and will promote jobs.

Independent Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrashekar believes the government is paying the price for passing multiple ordinances in a haste.
