Modi magic wearing off? BJP loses 70% seats where PM campaigned

According to a report by IndiaSpend, the BJP has lost more than 70 percent seats where Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned during the assembly elections in the five states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram.

PM Modi addressed 30 rallies across 80 constituencies in the five states, of which the BJP won 23 and lost 57.

More than 70 percent of Modi’s rallies took place in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Out the 54 seats where the prime minister campaigned in these two states, the saffron party managed to win only 22, amounting to a mere 41 percent.
