Ahead of winter session, BJP to strategise its moves

Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has called an all-party meeting in the morning and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has also called a similar meeting in the evening.

A day before the winter session of Parliament, the Bharatiya Janata Party is going all out to strategise its tactics for what could be another stormy session.

A host of meeting are scheduled to be held on Wednesday. A day after his return from the two-nation trip, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair two meetings today. The NDA is expected to face stiff opposition in Parliament as it will try to push through important reforms.

The government has planned a heavy legislative agenda for the month-long session, including the key reform measure Goods and Service Tax, which commences on November 26 and concludes on December 23.
