The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea filed by actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut to quash a criminal defamation complaint filed against her over remarks during the 2020-21 farmers' protest.

A bench of justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta was hearing Ranaut’s challenge to the Punjab and Haryana High Court order that had earlier denied quashing the complaint against her.
