Incessant rain over the past few days has caused the river to swell

The Delhi government on issued an advisory warning on Sunday that the water level of the Yamuna River may rise above the danger mark in the next two days in Delhi.

The Irrigation and Flood Control Department said the river is expected to cross the 206-metre danger level by 2 am on August 19 and the situation is being closely monitored.
