Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor on Tuesday took full responsibility for his party's poor performance in the recent Bihar polls, as he spoke to the media for the first time after the verdict.

"There must have been some mistake in our efforts, in our thinking, in the way we explained that the public had not elected us. If the public did not show faith in us, then the responsibility for that is completely mine. I take that responsibility 100% on myself, that I could not win the faith of the people of Bihar," he said.

With his JD(U) forecast collapsing, will Prashant Kishor quit politics?

The Jan Suraaj Party founder was also questioned over his bold pre-election claims that JD(U) would not win more than 25 seats. In multiple interviews, Kishor had said he would quit politics if the Nitish Kumar-led party won more than 25 seats.
