After a meeting with his deputy Shivakumar on Tuesday, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah said there are no differences between the two.
"DK Shivakumar and I are united. We are running the government. In the future also, we will run the government unitedly..." he said.
The CM also said he and his deputy had breakfast, discussed party matters and strategy for legislature session from December 8.
However, when asked when Shivakumar will become the CM, Siddaramaiah said, "when the High Command says..."
Siddaramaiah said that both the leaders would be willing to go to New Delhi if called there by the Congress high command. “Both of us will accept the decision taken by the high command, especially Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge. If they (the party high command) call us (to Delhi), we will definitely go. Tomorrow I am meeting KC Venugopal at a function where both of us are invited," the CM said.
The chief minister also said that all Karnataka MLAs were united, and would face the Opposition together. “We are always united, we are brothers and working together,” Siddaramaiah said.
The CM had earlier met Shivakumar at his residence over a breakfast meeting. After idli-sambar and upma in their first meeting, DK Shivakumar hosted Siddaramaiah with steaming plates of traditional Nati chicken and Idlis.
On Monday, Shivakumar said both he and the CM would continue to work together as a team. He also said that they both were “working like brothers”, while asserting that there were no groups in the state Congress, and blamed the media for creating confusion.
The power struggle has been simmering since the state government crossed its 2.5-year mark, reviving talk of a 2023 power-sharing formula that allegedly promised rotation of the top post.

BJP MP Jagadish Shettar said, "Infighting (in Congress) is very serious, it will not end. Administration of the Karnataka government has collapsed...I think this (breakfast meeting) is a temporary ceasefire..."
