Indian Railways currently operates 54 Vande Bharat Express trains on various routes connecting several parts of the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off on Saturday three new Vande Bharat trains connecting Meerut with Lucknow, Madurai with Bengaluru and Chennai with Nagercoil. With the introduction of these three new train services, the number of Vande Bharat Express trains opearing in various parts of India have gone upto 54.

The Meerut city-Lucknow Vande Bharat will help passengers save around one hour in comparison to the current fastest train between the two cities. Similarly, the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat and the Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will cover the journey saving more than two hours and around 1.30 hours respectively.

Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, except on Tuesdays.  Train No-22490 Vande Bharat will leave Meerut City at 6.35 am and will reach Moradabad at 8.35 am for a five-minute stoppage. The next stoppage will be at Bareilly where it will reach at 9.56 am and will have two minutes stoppage time. The train will finally reach Lucknow NR station at 01.45 pm. The fare from Meerut to Lucknow will be Rs 1,355 in AC Chair Car which includes a catering charge of Rs 364. The fare in the Exec. Chair Car is Rs 2,415 which includes a catering charge of Rs 419.

Train No-22489 Vande Bharat will leave Lucknow NR station at 2.45 pm and reach Bareilly at 6.02 pm and will have two minutes stoppage time. The next halt will be at Moradabad at 7.32 pm where the train will stop for five minutes and finally reach Meerut City at 10.00 pm. The fare from Lucknow to Meerut will be Rs 1,3oo in AC Chair Car which includes a catering charge of Rs 308.he fare in the Exec. Chair Car is Rs 2,365 which includes catering charge of Rs 369.
