'Modi govt legitimising territorial aggression': Congress attacks PM on push for reconciliation with China

Congress attacked the Modi government and asked whether the "new normal" is to be defined by Chinese bullying and "government's spinelessness".

The Congress on Sunday made scathing remarks on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The party attacked the Centre and asked whether the "new normal" is to be defined by Chinese bullying and "government's spinelessness".

The Congress also asked whether the Modi government's push on reconciliation with China is de facto legitimising its territorial aggression.

Pointing out that the Army Chief has demanded a full restoration of the status quo on the border with China in Ladakh, the party said that Modi government is legitimising their territorial aggression by pushing for reconciliation.
