Max Hospital in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh receives bomb threat

Max Hospital in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh received a bomb threat on Saturday. The Delhi Fire Service confirmed the incident and said a search operation is underway. Delhi Police is also present at the site, according to several media reports.

"Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, received a bomb threat. Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Service on the spot, search operation underway," Delhi Fire Service said.

This has come one day after the Delhi High Court also received a bomb threat. On Friday, News18 reported that the threat letter mentioned that three explosives had been planted in the judge’s room and at other locations on the premises, and warned that the evacuations should be completed by 2 pm.

The report said that the letter also mentioned “links with the Pakistan ISI cells” and stated that “the judge’s chamber will detonate shortly after mid-day Islamic prayers.”
