French-based Schneider Electric is set to establish a new Printed Circuit Board (PCB) plant in Karnataka, creating an additional 5,000 jobs.
A delegation led by Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil, is visiting Europe ahead of the Global Investors Meet in February 2025. Patil met Bruno Turchet, a senior official from Schneider Electric, at the French Embassy.
“Turchet shared plans for the new PCB manufacturing facility. He also emphasised Schneider Electric's confidence in Karnataka as a hub for innovation and manufacturing” said Patil.

“With more than 11,000 employees already in Bengaluru, Schneider Electric’s expansion underscores their trust in Karnataka's capabilities. We assured them of full government support,” Patil said.
He added that the state-of-the-art PCB plant would significantly boost Karnataka’s manufacturing sector.

Meanwhile, Karnataka has also signed an MoU with Krones, a global leader in bottling and packaging equipment, to establish a new manufacturing facility. Patil met Christoph Klenk, CEO of Krones, at their headquarters in Neutraubling, Germany. “Krones plans to set up a cutting-edge manufacturing unit in Phase 2 of the Vemagal Industrial Park in Kolar district,” Patil said.
During the visit, the delegation toured Krones' advanced operations, and an MoU was signed to finalise their investment and fast-track project implementation.
