Karnataka Minister for Commerce, Industries, and Infrastructure MB Patil has offered land for the Tata IISc Medical School in the proposed Knowledge, Wellbeing, and Innovation (KWIN) City.

Tata Group has partnered with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) to set up Tata IISc Medical School on its Bengaluru campus, and pledged Rs 500 crore under agreement signed on January 14.

KWIN City, a futuristic city spanning 5,800 acres between Dabaspet and Doddaballapur, comprises four areas of concern, or districts: Knowledge, Health, Innovation, and Research.
