Karnataka bike taxi ban: Nasscom seeks urgent policy framework, interim relief

Industry body National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) has urged the Karnataka government to intervene immediately on the issue of bike taxi operations in the state.

In a letter addressed to transport minister R Ramalinga Reddy, Nasscom said it has submitted a formal representation seeking urgent action to avert large-scale disruption caused by the impending ban on bike taxi services.

The appeal follows a recent Karnataka High Court order prohibiting aggregator-based bike taxi operations in Bengaluru from June 15, 2025, in the absence of a dedicated regulatory framework.
