Addressing India-Japan Joint Economic Forum, PM Modi said: "Japan has always been an important partner in India's development journey. From metro rail to manufacturing, semiconductors to startups...Japanese companies have invested over $ 40 billion in India..." In his speech, he described India as the best destination for investment, underlining the country’s political and economic stability, transparency in policy, and predictability. In a pitch to deepen business ties between the two nations, PM cited the example of Suzuki and Daikin’s success story.

The Prime Minister arrived in Japan on Friday for a two-day official visit. In Tokyo, PM Modi will attend the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit and hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, with a focus on trade, investment, defence and technology. PM Modi's visit comes amid a downturn in India-US relations over President Donald Trump's steep tariffs on Indian imports.
