Israel PM tests positive for COVID-19 days ahead of India visit, isolates at home

The news came hours after the PM visited the scene of a shooting in the Israeli city of Hadera where two Arab gunmen killed two police officers before being shot dead.

Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett has tested positive for COVID-19, days ahead of his scheduled visit to India, as his office announced that the PM is feeling well and will continue to work while isolating at home.

The news came hours after Bennett visited the scene of a shooting in the Israeli city of Hadera where two Arab gunmen killed two police officers before being shot dead.

Earlier this month, Bennett had announced his first official visit to India at the invitation of PM Narendra Modi.
