India's defence exports soar Rs 23,622 crore in FY24-25, up 34-fold since 2013-14

India's defence exports surged to a record high of Rs 23,622 crore in the last financial year 24-25, witnessing a 34-fold increase from 2013-14.

"Defence exports have jumped from ₹686 crore in 2013-14 to ₹23,622 crore in 2024-25 — a 34-fold rise," defence minister Rajnath Singh's office said in a post on X.

The minster's office asserted that India’s defence sector is growing stronger than ever, driven by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Amid the fiercest military standoff with Pakistan, India's defence exports are in focus. Rajnath Singh on Sunday virtually inaugurated the BrahMos production unit in Uttar Pradesh capital city Lucknow. He inaugurated the unit which has a capacity of manufacturing around 150 missiles annually.
