India and Pakistan are set to hold separate naval exercises in the Arabian Sea on August 11–12, operating in close proximity to each other’s maritime zones.

According to official notifications, the Indian Navy will carry out its maritime exercises from August 11 to 12 off the coasts of Porbandar and Okha in Gujarat.

While such drills are routine for both sides, the timing and location have drawn attention, coming amid escalated tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad in the wake of Operation Sindoor, India’s military strikes on Pakistan following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
