Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on June 29 said launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for hatching a conspiracy against him and said that it will be wiped out from the state.
"No one can hide the truth, it comes out sooner or later. I have come amongst you once again to provide you with leadership. Time to put last nail in BJP's coffin; saffron party will be wiped out from Jharkhand after the assembly elections," he told Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers during an address a day after walking out of the Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi.
The JMM leader alleged that the BJP has controlled all constitutional establishments but people have taught them a lesson in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections.
"I assure you that the results of Lok Sabha elections have given strength to natives and tribals of Jharkhand. I have received information that (assembly) elections may be preponed in the state ... We are ready for them," said Soren.
The JMM executive president said that the BJP's dream of winning assembly elections in Jharkhand will be nothing but 'Mungerilal ke haseen sapne'.
"BJP will try to mislead us and divert us from our path in every possible way ... But, in the assembly elections, we have shown them what we are capable of. The dream that they have for the next Vidhan Sabha elections is nothing but 'Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne'," he added.
Soren was released on June 28 after the Jharkhand high court granted him bail in a money laundering case, observing that he was prima facie not guilty, and there was no likelihood of the petitioner committing an offence on bail. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him on January 31 in a case linked to the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.
