'Bihar needs start-ups, not hands up': PM Modi continues to attack RJD over 'jungle raj', invokes 'katta'

Addressing a public rally in Bihar's Sitamarhi on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi again aimed at the Rashtriya Janata Dal over 'jungle raj' during 15 years of its rule in the state.

As the first phase of voting finished in Bihar on November 6, the PM held an election rally in Sitamarhi and said that Bihar now needs 'start-ups and not hands up'.

Stressing that the state is in dire need of opportunities in education, sports and employment for development, he slammed the RJD invoking the 'katta' (pistol) reference over 'jungle raj'.

"In Bihar, it's fashionable to come here with a pistol and say, 'Hands up'... Now, there's no place in Bihar for those who say 'Hands up'... Bihar needs 'startup', not 'Hands up', PM Modi said.
