Bengaluru's Electronics City Metro: Safety inspection from July 22 to 25; PM may inaugurate in August

Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) will inspect the long-awaited Yellow Line of Namma Metro, connecting RV Road and Bommasandra, from July 22 to 25, sources told Moneycontrol.

In a communication to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) dated July 18, CMRS office said: “Statutory inspection of the newly constructed elevated section from RV Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra (Reach 5, Phase 2) will be conducted from July 22 to 24. Additional inspection will follow on July 25. Subsequently, Operations Control Centre shall also be inspected on July 25".

The fully elevated 19.15-km corridor comprises 16 stations and was originally slated for completion in December 2021. However, the corridor has faced repeated delays.
