A 25-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack while playing badminton in Hyderabad. The man, identified as Gundla Rakesh, was the son of Gundla Venkateswarlu, a former Deputy Sarpanch in Khammam district and was employed at a private company.
A viral CCTV footage, shows Rakesh playing a doubles match at Nagole Stadium around 8:00 pm and collapsing moments after bending down to pick up the shuttlecock.
Other players tried to help him, with one attempting chest compressions in an effort to revive him. He was later declared "brought dead" when taken to hospital.
His demise has once again raised concerns about cardiac arrests in young people during physical activities like playing games or at the gym.
