It's no easy task, but the key to achieving athletic brilliance is a balanced diet, says celebrated professional bodybuilder Chitharesh Natesan, also called the Indian Monster. "I always focus on natural, whole foods in my diet. It has a variety of carbohydrates like sweet potatoes, potatoes, tapioca, white rice, and brown rice. For protein, I include fish, chicken, eggs, red meat, lentils, paneer, and sprouts, keeping my cooking simple with fewer spices. During competitions, I opt for boiled preparations. Fats are essential, and I ensure they're part of every meal, alongside vegetables, to create balanced plates. For my sweet cravings I rely on fruits or dates and completely avoid packaged food items," he adds.
