University of Glasgow offers Indian postgraduate students £5,000 fee discount

  The University of Glasgow has announced a new multi-million-pound scholarship scheme for Indian postgraduate students. Highly qualified students will be awarded a £5,000 discount fee to study in Scotland, at one of the top 100 universities in the world.

Students demonstrating academic excellence — equivalent to UK First Class Honours in their degree — will be eligible for the funding.

The new India Merit Award covers programmes in more than 150 subject areas across science and humanities. The full list can be found at: University of Glasgow — Scholarships and funding — India Merit Award.

To be eligible, students must:

• demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to UK 1st Class Honours


• hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme for September 2024 intake


• be domiciled in India


• have international fee status
