Lucknow Super Giants will take on Punjab Super Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow in the eleventh game of the IPL 2024. Lucknow are currently at the bottom of the IPL 2024 Points Table, having lost their opening game against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. The KL Rahul-led side will hope for better rub of the greens at their home venue.

In LSG vs PBKS, Lucknow Super Giants would be likely fielding the same side that played in the first game, as they do have some big names and the management hopes they would deliver soon. The issue with LSG's batting order is whether Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran are batting too deep. Some experts argue that these two should be promoted up the order so their experience can be better used. Stoinis at 4 and Pooran at 5 followed by Badoni could be a better utilisation of the foreign recruits in the side.

LSG also has the resources of Kyle Mayers who can up the ante.
KL Rahul at the top needs to up his scoring rate too, or else that is a wasted position in today’s T20s.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings would want to return to the winning ways. After securing two points against Delhi, they lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their second tie.

Punjab have their batting sorted but they expect more runs from Johnny Bairstow at the top. Like KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan too needs to score a bit quicker in the opener’s position. Punjab needs Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone to give their innings a big thrust. Their death bowling is a lingering concern across seasons. While Kagiso Rabada usually plays the part, the likes of Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh (likely as impact sub) should focus on bowling in the right areas at the death and concede fewer runs.
