Vikas Khemani of Edelweiss Capital told CNBC-TV18, "We have been extremely bullish on IT sector based on the strong demand outlook in the US and other developed markets and we will see that trend is likely to continue in next three to four years at least and in light of that Indian IT companies will benefit the most also along with that I think there is emergence of new segment - Digital Technology which have also become a very big growth driver. So, we see sector by and large doing very well.”
“We have been positive on Infosys almost for now three-four quarters and we continue to remain very positive. We think there are lots of levers of growth in Infosys till to kick in,” he added.
“Over the next two to three years within that there will be midcap company which might give certain better returns given the fact that they would have better exposures to some of the emerging opportunities like Persistent Systems or Tech Mahindra and I think those companies could be captured well but we have kind of been advising our investors to have a balanced portfolio between largecaps and midcaps. We believe that IT as a sector will do very well over next couple of years."
