Deven Choksey of KR Choksey Shares told CNBC-TV18, "I do not know whether I want to buy fresh into Idea Cellular. I am of the view that most of the telecom companies will have to change their revenue model from what they are right now into a content based selling. It is easier said than done. But at the same time, it is a requirement because the voice in the global market is not fetching the price and India continues to sell the voice per minute. So to a greater extent, this is an area where I believe that the model has to change. That is the reason for which I am not developing enough amount of confidence to buy into any of the telecom companies, which are in the listed space currently."
"I would rather wait for the entry of 4G of Reliance Jio and see what exactly the revenue model they introduce into the market and then probably take a call on this space. Till that point of time, keep this space out of the buying in my portfolio," he said.
